A bit of a different update today. Rather than introducing you to more rebirth units, we will be revealing the new standing portraits for the heroines who were chosen for scenes by our Jet-Black Heroes or Tentacles of the Round!
Well then, without further ado, let us kick this off this string of new updates with our protagonist Leonhardt's beloved other half, Anora!
Eternal Promise: Anora

To recap, this is her scene summary:
After a long period of war, the land of Helvetia was finally at peace.
One night, just when Leon was relaxing in his room, Anora appeared before him in a new outfit, one different to her usual black dress. She was dressed in a beautiful dark-coloured wedding dress, her beauty truly befitting of her title as the 'Black Maiden'.
Embracing him with a tender smile, Anora spent a precious, fleeting moment with her beloved, Leonhardt.
Does she not look absolutely stunning in her wedding-dress lingerie? Simply amazing.
I especially love how her arms are spread wide open to welcome her loving husband into an embrace...And that little detail with the ring, too...So precious!
We do hope you will all look forward to seeing her in this new scene when VBHI releases!
Oh, but that's not all there is to this update. What better way to continue on from a wedding dress lingerie than, of course...
The Pure White Maiden: Anora

To recap, this is her scene summary:
After the war on Helvetia concluded, peace has once again returned. Having travelled the new peaceful continent for some time, Leon eventually decides to settle down with Anora.
Eventually for the loving couple, Anora was blessed with Leon's child. Even while pregnant, she still seeks his loving embrace, and Leon is only too happy to oblige.
Ah, lovely Anora...She just looks so happy, does she not?
Come, do give her your blessings.
After all, she definitely deserves happiness after everything she has went through!
We hope you will all look forward to seeing her in this new scene when VBHI releases!

A maid who is also an angel who wields the power of ice.
She seems a bit airheaded and happy-go-lucky, and often has trouble expressing herself despite being a very emotive girl under that unflinching expression.
She loves her brother a lot, and has felt very lonely ever since he went missing.
As the Backer, ラーグ, is a Knight Commander in the Tentacles of the Round, Shushu will be featured in her very own scene! Do look forward to it!
Dragon of Ice & Fire: Antinomi
Backer: アンチノミー (Antinomi)
Born as a rare species of dragon with differing elements on her wings, she has struggled as a young dragon girl to control them properly, rendering her unable to fly while most could at a young age.
Until, one day...Julia caught sight of her struggling to fly, and extended a helping hand.
After that fateful encounter, Antinomi came to serve and worship Julia.
As the Backer, アンチノミー, is a Knight Commander in the Tentacles of the Round, Antinomi will be featured in her very own scene! Do look forward to it!
Spirit Angel of Fire: Wraith Valkyrie
Backer: しなもん (Cinnamon)
Having lost the goddess El Nath who she worshipped in the war, she requested the help of a certain hermit scientist to transform her into a Wraith Unit.
Seeking to avenge her fallen goddess, she protects humanity from the Damned Souls that roam the land while awaiting her chance at retribution.
Eventually, a chance to accomplish her lifelong goal has arrived on Ishta...
Crusher Nun : Diretta
Backer: よーそろー (Yo-soro-)
Once a pious priestess, she made contact with a cursed weapon, an ancient artifact, which has since caused her to seek out 'prey' to crush.
Now, armed with her pile bunker that is activated by magic, she can only be satisfied from seeing things destroyed by her hand.

Iron Maiden
Backer: マイハ (Maiha)
The Iron Maiden is an instrument of execution. Having been animated by a wraith, she now has full consciousness and a newfound awareness regarding herself and her surroundings.
With that, she took for herself the name "Mei".
After the battle in Necrograd, Mei began to harbour feelings for Leonhardt, but finds herself unable to express her love to him due to being covered in spikes.
Despite that, wanting to express her feelings to him, she seeks out the help of her former superior, the Dark Lord Elea...
Hronn
Backer: 龍国産おせんべい (Ryuukokusan Osenbei)
One of the Wave Maidens who served one known as the 'Golden Heroine' during a conflict in the Demon Realm. An extremely powerful witch who says 'unfortunate' a lot.
Having been defeated in battle by Leonhardt, Hronn was locked up in a dungeon.
There, she was informed that her 2 sisters were also captured, and Leonhardt offered her a deal. If she could resist his 'interrogation' until the very end, he would release all 3 of them...
Wraith Magia
Backer: 深渦 (Shinka)
The Wraith Magia is a mage created as a wraith weapon who is extremely adept at magic, particularly sorcery to do with Anima.
During a recent battle, the Wraith Magia did exceptionally well in battle, to the point where Leonhardt decided she deserved a special commendation...A 'reward', so to speak.
However, it looks like this specific reward will be delivered in a rather...intimate fashion.
Wraith General
Backer: an anonymous person
One of the few Wraith Units in the empire that are considered capable of being a field commander, she is the sub-commander of the Wraith Corps led by Celias.
She seems to be an acquaintance of Leon's, though she seems to dislike him somewhat and harbours a one-sided rivalry with him.
Having lost to the Black Arme Vapula in battle, he was deciding what to do with her before she suddenly approached him with an 'offer', specifically, the conditions for her surrender.
What could she be planning...?

Magicianof the Azure Sky: Tiana

A mysterious young maiden hailing from beyond the veil of time.
Her appearance suggests that she is still in her youth, and her personality is that of a rambunctious tomboy. However, she is very adept at magic that involves messing with the fabric of time and space, and is a prodigiously talented mage who wields very potent magical power.
She appears to hold special feelings towards both Leon and Anora, often staring at them longingly from a distance...
As the backer for Tiana, あきゃま, is a knight of the Tentacles of the Round, and on top of that has purchased the 'Flower of the Battlefield' add-on, Tiana will be getting a scene of her own in VBHI! Do look forward to it!
Radiant Flame Dragon Princess: Elza
Backer: 「Expecting YOU!」
A young girl clad in military garb hailing from beyond the veil of time.
Elza is a very serious and strict girl, to the point that people might describe her as 'calm and collected'.
However, in reality, she tends to panic internally when things don't go her way.
Taking after her parents, she is physically very powerful yet very mobile as well.
The way she charges through the battlefield carving a path forward for her allies very closely resembles the majestic form of a certain dragon queen.
The 2 units introduced above are actually related to the main characters in VBHI to some extent.
Well, just by looking at their introductions, I'm sure many of you have already made the obvious connections...
Either way, we hope you look forward to their appearance in the full game!

Eternal Evergreen Dragon Princess

A former hero of draconic descent hailing from a parallel version of another world.
On the land of Zilant, humankind and Demonkind fought in a never-ending war... It was there that a hero took up her sword, seeking to put an end to all the fighting.
However...having lost to a certain small-fry pipsqueak of an Alraune early in her journey, the hero was captured and was forced to become a slave to demonkind.
Eventually, after a long period of torment, she caught the eye of a dragon researcher known as Isabella, who subjected her to many...'unethical' experiments.
Eventually, during an experiment with body modification, her draconic genes were mixed with that of an undead dragon. As a result, she underwent metamorphosis and turned into a dracaenaria.
Such is the fate of an unfortunate Hero, defeated before she could realise her true potential.
Having transformed into a very different being than what she was before, she now finds herself caught up in a different war, taking place on a different world...

The second and final new stretch goal character after Iris in the previous corresponding update...Alioth!

“This world, the you that is in front of me...Is it but a dream I am having? Or am I perhaps simply a resident of said dream...? I certainly wonder what the correct answer to this question is...”
Now then, if you're someone who has played the original VBH, this name might seem familiar to you!
Maybe not as much as the previous new character, Iris, but those who have paid close attention to the story should at least have some inkling!
Here is a short introduction to the role she will play in VBHI:
A free and unrestrained travelling fortune teller who leads a band of historical heroes.
Appearing before Leonhardt who was leading the Vanguard of the Empire’s forces, she offers to aid him in his efforts.
She is capable of using extremely powerful and potent magic without the aid of any Tactica, and she often questions Leonhardt on various things. To what end, you may ask? Perhaps nobody but her may ever know.
Alioth...An ally claiming to have travelled far an wide, leading an eccentric entourage.
But, she will surely be a tremendous help to Leonhardt on his journey to fulfill his ambition.
Not to mention, she seems to have a peculiar interest in Anora...But to what end?
Well then, do look forward to her appearance in the full version of VBHI!

帝国の最前線部隊として戦いに明け暮れるレオン達に、協力を申し出てくる。
タクティカを用いずに極めて高いレベルの魔術を操ることが出来、
レオンに対して謎めいた問いかけを行うこともあるが、その真意は計り知れない。
アリオテ……奇妙な一団を率いる、助っ人と名乗り出る謎だらけな存在。
しかし、心強い味方になることは間違いないでしょう。
それに、彼女はなぜかアノーラのことに興味を示している……一体なぜなのでしょうね。

Despite being a machine, she is a special one that houses within her a "heart", making her a very kind girl who looks out for her neighbours.
She has made her way through many trials and tribulations including many battles, but deep down she harbours only the simple wish to protect those important to her.
Jet-Black Artificial God: Kuon
Backer: 夜空(Yozora)
1 of 2 human-like robots from another world so advanced that she is considered an "Artificial God" .
Despite being a machine, she is a special one that houses within her a "heart", and she was originally made to be a sort of arbitrator for the relationship between humankind and machines.
She claims to have a very fierce personality, but those who know her well often say that she is a very "naive older sister type", an assessment of which she is none too pleased to hear.
Refreshing Folk from Another World
A Cornered Rat Running From Cat: Escaped Wild Rat

A rat that was caught by a Nekomata, but somehow managed to barely escape from its clutches alive. A true survivor, a wild rat that has gone through hell.
Perhaps because of this experience, it has become extremely wary and cautious.

Kuon's Evangelist Tentacle: Tugai
Backer: つがい◇ゆあ (Tsugai Yua)
A tentacle who has succeeded in peeking and observing a being known as Kuon, of the world known as "Kikaijikake no Eve", and has come to very deeply respect and worship her.

A hero from the far east, hailing from another world.
Wreathed in flames, he is an extremely powerful being despite being only human.
At first, he was content to sit out the current war on Helvetia, believing that doing anything to worsen the situation would not be a good idea.
However, as he saw what happened to the humans of the world, and the harm that was being caused to them, he has decided to take up his blade once more.
Protective Fist of Fire: Suzu
Backer: 龍国産おせんべい (Ryuukokusan Osenbei)
Once a simple blade from another world known as "Zanten" (Cutting the Heavens), she was given form after countless battles.
She might, perhaps, be a form of "Tsukumogami", a spirit that possesses an item that held great importance to someone, and was well loved by said master.
Believing that she had failed her master as his blade after he was killed in battle, she is haunted by constant regret and thus she seeks to strengthen herself after becoming human.
All for the sake of her former master, whom she dearly wishes to meet again. This time, she would fight at his side and fulfill her purpose as his blade.
Wreathing herself in flames, she uses her destructive fists of fire against her enemies, all for the sake of her master.
As the backer of this unit is a Knight Commander of the Tentacles of the Round, and has purchased multiple Flower of the Battlefield Add-ons, Suzu will be featured in not just 1, but 2 scenes! We hope you look forward to them!
